The Stanford Racing team has invited us to watch Stanley in action! In gratitude
for all our support over the years, Stanford Racing has arranged an evening of fun
and excitement for us on Friday, April 28th, at 6PM at the Stanford Racing compound.
They won't tell us exactly where we're going yet, just that we'll need our own transportation
and that there should be 4 or 5 people per car to maximize participation. Also,
participants should expect to return to campus around midday Saturday.
Stanford Racing has asked us to limit participation to about 20
car-loads of people, so in anticipation
of high demand we will need all prospective groups to complete our
online application. Submit your application by Monday, April 24!

On March 28, PBS broadcast a fantastic episode of
Nova entitled "The Great Robot Race," with an in-depth look at Stanley and the Stanford Racing team! If you missed
our
Nova-watching party on Tuesday night, don't worry -- PBS has posted
the entire show online! On PBS.org, you can
watch the show by chapter (be sure to watch chapters 4, 6, and 7), and you
can also read their pre-GC
interview
with Dr. Thrun.
